Purdue's undergraduate sequence moves from thermodynamics and basic structures into aerodynamics, propulsion, dynamics, and controls. Every student then completes a team-based senior design project focused on an aircraft or spacecraft system.
Students begin the major after a common engineering year, then choose aeronautical or astronautical versions of selected junior courses before specializing as seniors.
